Exclusive iPad Pro 2 and Apple Pencil 2 Visualizations Predict What Apple’s Upcoming Products Could Look Like

Apple’s iPad Pro hasn’t been refreshed in quite some time, leaving eager buyers wondering “When can I get my hands on Apple’s next generation iPad?” Most recent reports suggest that refreshed Apple iPads won’t be released until the second half of 2017, and at that time, we might see three iPad varieties.

New iPads for 2017

Ming-Chi Kuo, renown Apple analyst and credible source of insider information, indicated in a research note to investors that he expects Apple to introduce a total of three iPad models in 2017, including an all-new 10.5-inch iPad Pro.

While we might see a brand new 10.5-inch iPad Pro, Kuo indicates the devices will feature relatively modest upgrades —maintaining both the physical and structural design of the company’s current generation iPad models.

In addition to a second generation 12.9-inch ‘iPad Pro 2’, Kuo noted, speculatively speaking, that the new 10.5-inch iPad offering might be a replacement for the iconic 9.7-inch device. He also noted that Apple’s next iPad Pro models will more than likely boast the company’s next-generation ‘A10X’ chipset.

Apple Pencil 2

Apple will reportedly release an upgraded, second-generation version of the Apple Pencil alongside new iPad Pro models this year, according to a new rumor.

The so-called “Apple Pencil 2” will feature a magnetic system that will allow it to attach to the side of an iPad or iPad Pro — temporarily fixing the issue of where to keep the Pencil when it’s not in use, Letem Svetem Applem reported. The Czech Apple news site cited Chinese supply chain sources from the microblogging platform Weibo.

This report does line up with a patent Apple acquired in September. That patent covers a permanent magnetic system that could allow an Apple Pencil to attach to the side of an iPad, or for two iPads to be attached together.
