If you’re not impressed by the leaks surrounding the iPhone 7 and have your eyes set on Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 7, the device now has an official reveal date for you to look forward to.
As was rumoured before the tweet below was sent out from the South Korean tech giant, the phone will launch at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event on August 2 in New York.
The invite teases the arrival of the handset with the use of a stylus-themed clock face — a nod to the Samsung S Pen — of which the seventh marker is highlighted.
In a blog post, the company added: “With added functionality of the S Pen and large screen, the Galaxy Note7 is a powerful instrument for achievement and self-expression.”
Sammy also cleared up the whole Note 6 skip-over thing, indicating that the move was to bring the line up to speed with the S7 and S7 Edge.
In terms of specs, the phone is expected to feature a 5.7-inch, dual-edge screen, an iris scanner, a 12-megapixel camera, a 64-bit Snapdragon 820 processor and a huge 6GB of RAM.
Just make sure you’re ready for the suggested hole it will leave in your wallet.
