Microsoft Lumia 535 arrives to bid farewell to Nokia

It’s here, the first Microsoft branded Lumia that means Nokia Lumia is no more, meet the Lumia 535.

After teasing the Microsoft Lumia release date excitement was high. But the Micorosft Lumia 535 isn’t quite as exciting as you might expect Microsoft’s first branded Lumia to be, in fact it’s decidedly average. But then for the price it’s hard to complain.

The 535 comes in single and dual SIM versions both of which max out at 3G connectivity and come with Windows Phone 8.1 and the Lumia Denim update.

The screen is a 5-inch IPS LCD with a 960 x 540 resolution for 220ppi. It’s all powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor backed by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage with mircoSD support up to 128GB.

The rear and front-facing cameras on the Lumia 535 are 5-megapixel snappers with the usual Lumiasoftware extras like the Selfie app. That high resolution, 24mm focal length and dedicated app should make for perfect selfies.

The Microsoft Lumia 535 will be available in cyan, bright green, bright orange, white, dark grey and black. The handset will be available later this month in Asia, with Russia, India and China next in line and Africa and Europe following. The Microsoft Lumia 535 will be €110 which is about £85.
