Nokia N1 tablet now available outside China

Nokia N1 tablet, which was launched in China last year, is finally making an entrance in other Asian markets. The company has launched the N1 tablet in Taiwan for TWD 8,190 (roughly Rs. 17,000) and will be soon made available in other countries as well.

Nokia N1 tablet was designed by Nokia and manufactured and marketed by Foxconn in China. It was launched in January and saw a huge response with 20,000 units selling out in just 4 minutes and twenty seconds. The N1 tablet features a 7.9-inch IPS LED display with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has a unibody design and is 6.9 mm thin. It is powered by a 2.3 GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor with 2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB of non expandable memory. The N1 has an 8 MP rear autofocus camera and a 5 MP front camera.

Connectivity options included in the Nokia N1 are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and micro-USB with reversible Type-C connector. The tablet is backed by a 5300mAh battery and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with the Nokia Z Launcher Interface.The Nokia N1 tablet is the company’s first product after the Microsoft acquisition. According to the terms of the deal the Finnish company can’t manufacture smartphones till Q4 2016, and feature phones for 10 years under its Nokia brand. Recently rumors had surfaced that Nokia is planning to re-enter the smartphone market next year. However the company has denied the rumors in an official statement.
